South Korean iPhone users take Apple to the court for $12 million in damages

The iPhone users sued the Apple for damages worth 200,000 won ($188) per plaintiff or 12.75 billion won ($12 million) in total.

A sum of 63,767 South Korean iPhone clients has held up the nation's greatest ever legal claim against Apple for harms worth millions, specialists said on Friday. Hannuri, a neighborhood law office which speaks to the clients, documented the legal claim with the Seoul Central District Court against Apple and Apple Korea, the nearby unit of the iPhone maker, reports Xinhua news office.

The iPhone clients requested the harms worth 200,000 won ($188) per offended party, or 12.75 billion won ($12 million) altogether. It was the nation's greatest ever class activity suit ever. Around 400,000 iPhone clients initially tried to join the lawful activity, yet the number fell over the span of checking ID and offering important records, as indicated by the report.

Apple was blamed for backing off old iPhones through programming change to influence clients to purchase new ones once another model is discharged. The iPhone creator guaranteed that its product purposefully moderated a few models in specific situations to shield them from consequently closing down.
